PRODUCTIVTY-IN ACTION SCHOOLS’ PROGRAMME
In order to take Productivity Awareness Campaign (PAC) to the grassroots, the Centre in year
2001 conceived and commenced a new programme tagged “Productivity-In-Action”. The idea is to take the Productivity message to
the Secondary Schools’ level. It is executed through Productivity Lectures, Installation of Productivity Clubs, Debates and
Quiz.
The objectives of the Programme are to;
i) Make the young and malleable minds imbibe productivity culture early in life
ii) Expand the frontiers of productivity
iii) Provide a platform for spreading the productivity message to youths in the Secondary Schools;
iv) Arouse the interest of youths on the benefits of improved productivity in their lives in particular, and the nation at large;
v) Get a group that will be in the vanguard of entrenching productivity for national development.
Since inception of the programme, fifteen
schools in the Federal Capital Territory had been covered. The Schools covered are:
1) Government Girls Science Secondary School, Kuje
2) Government Day Secondary School, Karu
3) School for the Gifted, Gwagwalada
4) Government Secondary School, Zone 3, Wuse
5) Government Secondary School, Lugbe
6) Government Secondary School, Gwarinpa
7) Government Secondary School, Kubwa
8) Government Secondary School, Karu
9) Government Secondary School,kuje
10) Anglican
Girls Grammar School, Apo
11) Government Girls
Secondary School, Dutse
12) Model Secondary
School, Maitama
13) Government Secondary
School, Tudun Wada,
14) Government Secondary School, Garki
15) Greater Height Academy, Kado
Five schools have also been selected for 2010. The Schools are:

- Government Science Secondary School, Area
3, Garki, Abuja
- Government Secondary School, Wuse II, Abuja
- Junior Secondary School, Mpape, Abuja
- Government Secondary School, Garki, Abuja
The
programme is expected to kick-off in the selected schools as soon as schools resume for third term.

The Productivity-In-Action Schools’ Programme is an on-going programme and would be vigorously pursued
in the years head.
