NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS (NYSC) PRODUCTIVITY LECTURE
The NYSC Productivity Lecture is a sub-set of the Productivity Awareness Campaign
(PAC) Programme. As an extension of the Productivity-In Action initiative, the NYSC Productivity Lecture is designed to inculcate
productivity culture in the Youth Corps Members, with the ultimate goal of making them to be self-reliant, especially in the face
of daunting unemployment challenges in the economy.
The NYSC Productivity Lecture seeks, among others to:
1) create general awareness among Corps members on the significance and benefits of productivity improvement as the socio-economic development
of the individual, organization and the nations,
2) ensure that Corps members become employers of labour rather
than seeking after non-existing white-collar jobs and ,
3) make Corps members imbibe productivity culture.
Based
upon the following, the NYSC Productivity Lecture is expected to ensure that:
a) Corps members are adequately
prepared for value-added work life,
b) Corps members are equipped to carry the productivity message to
the grass roots in the course of observing their primary assignments.
The NYSC Productivity Lecture is usually delivered to every batch
of Youth Corps members in all NYSC Orientation Camps nation-wide. Below are the themes of the lectures delivered between 2006

The First lecture for this year has been delivered to “Batch A” Corps members in March, 2010. It is expected that there will be two or more Camps before the year ends.
